Rapid Rabada halts brave USA reply: 2024 T20 World Cup S8 (Antigua)

Paceman Kagiso Rabada bowled at over 150 kmh and took 3 wickets as South Africa beat the USA by 18 runs in their Super Eights clash.

Rabada picked two early wickets and then came back to break a 91-run stand, helping the Proteas claim the narrow win as USA fell short at 176-6.

Earlier, Quintan De Kock did the damage with the bat, hitting five sixes and seven fours in a 40-ball 74. Markram provided support with 46 off 32 deliveries. Heinrich Klaasen smashed three sixes in his 36 to ensure South Africa posted a healthy 194-4.

South Africa 194 for 4 (de Kock 74, Netravalkar 2-21, Harmeet 2-24) beat United States of America 176 for 6 (Gous 80*, Rabada 3-18) by 18 runs.
