Finch, Starc lead Sri Lankan rout: 2019 World Cup #20 (Oval)

Skipper Aaron Finch struck a powerful century as Australia moved to the top of the World Cup group table with an emphatic 87-run win over Sri Lanka.

Finch's 153 off 132 balls and Steve Smith’s 73 powered Australia to 334-7.

In reply, Dimuth Karunaratne made 97 and Kusal Perera smashed 52 in a century opening stand.

Sri Lanka were sitting pretty, but collapsed from 186-2 in the 32nd over to be bowled out for just 247. Mitchell Starc's 4-55 and 3-47 from Kane Richardson’s 3-47 triggered the collapse.

Australia 334 for 7 (Finch 153, Smith 73, Maxwell 46) beat Sri Lanka 247 (Karunaratne 97, Kusal Perera 52, Starc 4-55) by 87 runs.
