Sachin Tendulkar smashed 97 and shared in an opening stand of 153 with Virendra Sehwag 66 to setup a score of 292-6.
In reply the Lankans could only muster 109 all out as the pace trio of Zaheer Srinath and Nehra dimissed them in 23 overs.
