Glenn McGrath stopped India with 3 quick strikes as he reduced India to 17 for four. Jadeja (100 not out) and Robin Singh had a rescue act for the 5th wicket but India fell short.
Earlier, Australia had set a target of 283 with 83 from Mark Waugh as the highlight.
