1956 Ashes Series: Australia bowled Laker

Australia were one up after 2 Tests in this memorable series. Enter off spinner Jim Laker as he made history by taking all 10 wickets in a Test innings (10-53) in the Australians second innings.

In the first innings, Australia collapsed from 48-0 to 84 all out as Laker took 9-37.

Laker's figures remain the best ever in Test cricket. No one had taken 19 in a match before, no one has since, and it's quite likely that no one ever will again.

England won the series 2-1 with 2 matches drawn and therefore retained The Ashes.
