Waugh against Ambrose: Eye-ball to eye-ball confrontation (1995)

Australia were attempting to win its first series in the Caribbean for more than 20 years in 1995. In the last test at Queens Park Oval Curtly Ambrose and Walsh reduce Australia to 31-4.

Steve Waugh is peppered by a fearsome array of short bowling from Ambrose who then ups the ante.

Waugh says "He followed through to within two metres away from me and gave me the regulation Clint Eastwood stare" when I reacted. Skipper Richie Richardson had to drag his fast bowler away from Waugh.
