1934: Ashes regained, revenge for Bodyline

The 1934 Ashes series began with the notable absence of the English players Harold Larwood Bill Voce and Douglas Jardine due to the controversial bodyline tactics in the 1932/33 series.

Bradman turned on the tap of runs scoring 758 runs with 2 centuries. Bill Ponsford also made 2 centuries and scored 569 runs. Australia recovered the Ashes under Bill Woodfull by winning the 5th Test and held them until 1953.
