The mighty Windies team was 10 down in the series. They looked likely to concede their first ever series for 12 years after a spell of 59 from offspinner Tim May skittled them for 146. Australia needed just 186 for victory to secure the series win. Curtly Ambrose Ian Bishop and Courtney Walsh upped their pace and tore into the Aussies batsmen to leave them on 1028 at lunch. Just as victory looked likely Craig McDermott gloved a short delivery from Walsh to wicketkeeper Junior Murray and the Windies won by one run. 4th Test Jan 1993 Adelaide.
